On November 1, 2001 the Registrant issued a press release announcing that shareholders approved the Registrant's name change from Venator Group, Inc. to Foot Locker, Inc. at a special meeting of shareholders held in New York on November 1, 2001. (NYSE: Z), the New York-based specialty athletic retailer, today announced that it will begin doing business as Foot Locker, Inc. tomorrow, November 2, 2001. The name change to Foot Locker, Inc. became official following today's approval by shareholders at a special meeting held at the Corporate Headquarters in New York City.
