On August 18, 2006, Foot Locker, Inc. issued a press release confirming statements made during its conference call that was conducted to discuss its second quarter financial results. The Company confirmed that it had hired Evercore Partners to advise the Company on a range of matters and that it would be premature to speculate on the timing or outcome of the review. The Company does not plan to comment further on this matter or provide further updates, unless it determines that an announcement is appropriate. NEW YORK, NY, August 18, 2006 – Foot Locker, Inc. (NYSE: FL), the New York-based specialty athletic retailer, today confirmed during a conference call that was conducted to discuss its second quarter financial results, that it had hired Evercore Partners to advise the Company on a range of matters and that it would be premature to speculate on the timing or outcome of the review.
